Printed Boards - Cloth Spine. Very Good. Very Scarce First Edition. 285 x 225mm. A series of drawings and descriptive letterpress of the Ruins, by the Messrs. Bucklers, Architects Oxford, and some account of the early Celtic Church, and of the Mission of St. Columba, by the Right Rev. The Bishop of Argyll and the Isles. 78 pages and 18 lithographic plates. Lithographically printed cover boards in six colours, the front featuring St.Columba showing the Celtic tonsure and ecclesiastical vestments, and the golden beard, by which royal descent was intended to be signified. A lovely Scarce first edition.
