Ursula Synge was born in Minehead, Somerset 1930 and lived there until she went to Bristol to study at The West of England College of Art.
After College Ursula worked in many bookshops specialising in children's literature and art books.
Her main interests are history, Exmoor, and craftmanship, and she has a strong dislike of all things mechanical.
