Ladybird series 760
Large Story books
4 titles published between 1940 and 1980

This series is little known to collectors as they are unlike any other series – these four books were produced in annual size with glossy pictorial covers.

These books never really did very well as they were not instantly recognisable as Ladybird books – it is definitely true to say that Ladybird had created a strong branding image through there pocket-sized, standard books, and there seemed to be no way for Ladybird to break out into new formats – but then again did they really need to?
