between 1940 and 1980
This series has a look at animals from different continents
of the world. Up until this series Ladybird had only looked
at a few British animals. This was the first series to explore
animals from outside the UK.

In 1979 Ladybird discarded the method of sewing their books pages together when the company bought an adhesive binding line, which glued the books together.
