Ladybird series 654
'How it Works'
14 titles published between 1940 - 1980

If you ever wanted to know how a rocket got into space, how an aeroplane got off the ground, or how a hovercraft could glide on water and land, then this was the series for you – full of simple explanations on how things around us work.

The Hovercraft, The Ocean Liner and Printing Processes are the three hard-to-find titles to look out for in this series, with The Hovercraft probably being the most scarce.
