Ladybird series 644
Customs
2 titles published between 1940 - 1980

Another series that was never properly developed by Ladybird, this series ran to just two books over an eight-year period. Both were written by N. F. Pearson. Frank Hampson illustrated Christmas Customs and Special Days was illustrated by Roger Hall.

The first title in this series is considered reasonably rare, and happens to be one of the last Ladybird titles, from all series, to be published in a dust-wrapper. For this reason it is believed that it originally had a small print run with it’s dust-wrapper, and was later reprinted several times as a matt edition.

Books in series 644 - There were 2 titles published in this series. Both entries below describe the first edition of each title.

The Stories of our Christmas Customs - N F Pearson - 1964
Stories of Special Days and Customs - N F Pearson - 1972
