This series, the first to appear in the 1960s, was very popular
for it’s well-written texts and superb colour illustrations,
and added interest to the history of man's achievements, helping
children grasp a greater understanding of our past, and how
inventions of plastics, ships and railways have helped shape
the world we live in today.

9 of which originally carried dust-wrappers, were priced at
2'6 Net. There were may reprints of each title
In 1984, six of the titles were rewritten and published in
a white laminated glossy covers.
