dust-wrappers / dust-jackets |
The
Wee Web will soon be offering a service providing high-quality
facsimile dust-wrapper digital scans for many popular first
editions.
Perhaps you are one of the lucky people to own a very scarce
first edition of Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons, but
you don't have it's dust-wrapper. Then why not house your rare
book in a quality reproduction of the original first edition
dust-wrapper. Not only will this give your book a better shelf
presence but it will also add a little extra value to your prized
edition.
|
Each
dust-wrapper has been scanned at a print-quality resolution
(300 dpi) and can be sent electronically in PSD or JPEG format
ready for your printer to prepare a physical copy.
If you have trouble finding a printer that can offer such a
service then The Wee Web can have a physical copy made for an
extra fee.
When we send you a high resolution scan of the first edition
dust-wrapper of your choice we also send you information regarding
the weight of the paper that should be used when having it printed.
Because some dust-wrappers have a glossy look and some have
a matt finish we will also describe the surface finish to the
original wrapper so that your printer can make an accurate choice
of what paper to use. |
| Some dust-wrappers
we don't scan |
We
do not offer digital scans or copies of dust-wrappers that are
embossed, encorporate metalic design and titling, or use holographic
effects. This generally applies to hyper-modern editions.
