| Why are we asking for donations? |
The Wee Web is a non-profit-making
website which is maintained and updated by unpaid staff - we
are not book dealers but do sell books to fund our research,
all of which is published on our website - the small amount
we make from our book sales goes just a little way in helping
keep our website a free online resource for anyone interested
in books to use free of charge.
| High traffic brings us high ISP
bandwidth charges |
Because our website is 'image rich' means that a visitor to
our website who views 15 pages will use approximately 1MB of
bandwidth - with thousands of visitors a week means that we
are well and truly exceeding our bandwidth limit set by our
Internet Service Provider (ISP) - this in turn brings in large
monthly bills, which to be honest, we are struggling to pay.
If our website continues it's current rate of growth, then our
monthly charges will soon be impossible for us to afford. Therefore
we are appealing to your good nature to give a donation - whatever
you can afford - we truly appreciate your support!
